Owner Spotlight Keith Uthe Demystifying Mortgages

I’m Keith Uthe, the proud owner of Keith Uthe Demystifying Mortgages.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After years of investing in real estate, mastering finance and working with a private lender, I decided to share my knowledge and experience by becoming a mortgage agent. The role fits in perfectly with my vision that everyone shall live a life of abundance.

My journey as a real estate investor began in 2003. After a decade of learning the intricate details of the industry, I decided to move into finance, in 2014. The following year, I became a certified real estate investment adviser, and in 2016 I morphed into an independent licensed mortgage agent.

Since 2016, I have noticed that the Federal Government of Canada has introduced significant mortgage rules. Newly implemented laws, such as the stress test has made it challenging for people to interpret the regulations and qualify for a mortgage. People contact me to understand these changes and seek favorable solutions.

Apart from the new mortgage regulations, I also enjoy educating my clients on mortgage financing subjects that get overlooked. The most rewarding moments are when clients say: “How come the person I spoke to at the bank or other brokerages never told me about this strategy?”

Honesty, open communication and being a good listener are the personality traits which I believe sets me apart from the others and these values are paramount to my business philosophy. It clearly pays to be transparent, as the ethics and morals that I adhere to have created goodwill and referrals for my business.

My business is thriving as a result of my willingness to help others in every possible way. I have a team of trusted professionals which I refer to my clients. It could be for insurance, appliance repair, renovations or something as simple as a birthday cake.

From birthdays to school shows, the flexibility of being my own boss has allowed me to attend all the important events in my daughter’s life, which has given me immense satisfaction in juggling my work-life balance.

When I am not at work, I enjoy officiating wheelchair basketball which I have been committed to since 2000. I recently retired from refereeing abled body basketball after serving the sport for over thirty years.

Keeping in line with my altruistic approach to life, I support Habitat for Humanity, an organization that assists people to find a place to live. I also believe in helping to keep kids active and ensure they have a good role model as their coach.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise in the mortgage industry, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit my website at www.demystifyingmortgages.com.

Sincerely,

Keith
